Are you curious about the upcoming congressional election in Texas District 27 This election cycle has a potential candidate, Craig Cleveland, vying for a seat as a MAGA Libertarian. With a strong emphasis on conservative values and libertarian principles, here are some platform ideas that Cleveland is proposing for his campaign:

Limited Government: Cleveland believes in reducing the size and scope of the government. He advocates for lower taxes, less regulation, and a more limited government intervention in the lives of citizens.
Individual Freedom: A core tenet of Cleveland's platform is the protection of individual liberties. He is a strong proponent of personal freedom, free speech, and the right to bear arms.
Economic Prosperity: Cleveland aims to promote policies that will bolster economic growth. He supports free-market principles, job creation, and entrepreneurship to strengthen the economy in Texas District 2.
Border Security: Keeping in line with the 'MAGA' ideology, Cleveland prioritizes securing the border to control illegal immigration and safeguard national security.
Education Reform: Cleveland is keen on reforming the education system by advocating for school choice, parent empowerment, and a focus on improving academic standards.
Healthcare Reform: Cleveland proposes reforms in the healthcare sector to increase accessibility, reduce costs, and enhance patient choices.
Energy Independence: Recognizing the importance of energy independence, Cleveland aims to advance policies that support energy production and reduce dependence on foreign sources.
Support for Veterans: Cleveland is committed to honoring and supporting veterans by ensuring they receive the care, benefits, and respect they deserve for their service. By focusing on these key platform ideas, Cleveland hopes to garner support from the community and make a positive impact on Texas District 27. Stay tuned for more updates on his campaign and how you can get involved to make a difference in the upcoming election.
I have a plan for term limits that I think would be able to pass both the House and Senate, and I believe President Trump would sign it into law.
Here is my plan:
Term limits would only apply to newly elected first term House of Representatives members such as myself if elected and future members.
Politicians already in office serving their second term and beyond would be exempt from the new law. I believe this compromise would be the key to passing the reforms needed.
The House of Representatives would be limited to 4 terms for a total of 8 years. They would then either retire or seek a higher office.
I would advocate for the Senate terms to be shortened to 4 years instead of 6 with a 2-term limit totaling 8 years also.
Once both of these term limits have been reached for a total of 16 years. They could either retire or run for President.
If a politician is successful in reaching all the allowed term limits including the presidency. This would be a maximum total of 24 years holding a federal office position.
This would only apply to federal government offices. It wouldn't exclude them from running for state offices after maxing out their federal term limits as that would be a state issue as per the 10th amendment.
This would address the argument that term limits could force a proven and effective politician out of office.
There would be no excuse for the House and Senate to vote against the bill I would introduce, and any politician that did could easily be held accountable in the next election cycle.
Pew Research Center: A significant majority, around 82% of adults, support limiting the number of terms members of Congress can serve. This proposal has strong support across party lines, with 56% strongly favoring it.
Gallup Poll: Three-quarters of Americans support term limits for Congress members, with similar support across Republicans, independents, and Democrats.
With the overwhelming majority of American voters wanting term limits, it would be political suicide for them to vote against it.
Term limits are crucial to a healthy Republic. However, career politicians would never vote to give up their jobs as we've seen with past halfhearted attempts.
Most politicians forget what it's like to be a regular citizen after just 8 years of holding office.
We need new uncorrupted eyes, ears and voices rotating into government on a more regular basis.
This would result in politicians who are still loyal to their constituents rather than corporate lobbyists and their globalist cronies in Washington.
We need to end lifetime career politicians and bring Government back to the people as originally designed. "By the People for the People." Not the Rich for the Rich.
This is just one of the issues I would work hard to get passed in congress if elected.
Sometimes you have to give a little to gain a lot. We need to look at the long-term benefits rather than immediate gratification.
Freedom has responsibility. Responsibility has pride. Pride has ambition. Ambition has productivity. Productivity has prosperity. Prosperity has Freedom. It's a beautiful Cycle.
